We have several relationship models designed to suit the unique requirements of our clients. We can either work under a fixed-bid relationship, provided a very detailed technical specification is developed, or under a more flexible T&M model, ideal for projects that may require frequent updates necessary to stay on the cutting edge in a competitive environment. We can even consider other options for special situations.
Fixed Price Bid
This type of engagement is best suited to well-defined projects with detailed specifications that don’t involve research. Our fixed price bid will include architecture, development, regular reports during development, quality assurance, deployment support and bug fixing. Because we bear the risk of overruns, we quote these projects at a premium to our T&M hourly rate. In addition, we often need to agree on specific circumstances which, if occur, will result in additional charges. Furthermore, fixed price engagements have fairly rigid schedules and don’t lend themselves to specification changes once development begins.
T&M (Time & Materials) Engagement
Time and materials engagements are better suited for clients with an ongoing need for software development or projects that cannot be estimated either because they are too large, are not well defined or involve development on the cutting edge. This type of the relationship is especially valued by our fast-growing customers who require the quick turnaround, flexibility and control that is inherent in this type of relationship.
In T&M engagements, we guarantee 40 hours a week per developer and charge a lower hourly rate than a fixed price relationship. We send reports every Monday with detailed information about time spent and plans for the coming week. We also provide regular builds and access to the project manager in the form of regular internet chats to further manage the development process.
Other Options
We consider other engagement types when the situation calls for it. We have lowered our hourly rate for revenue sharing and/or equity in the past.
Please contact us to determine which contracting option is right for you.
